M.A. Management and Leadership Competence

Why management and leadership skills?

Management and leadership require entrepreneurial, market-oriented thinking and action with a sustainable focus on economic processes. Thinking and acting systemically, analyzing and controlling processes, being present in interactions and reacting appropriately in situations are indispensable prerequisites for successful management. In addition to the necessary specialist knowledge, the course offers the opportunity to further develop and consolidate social and communicative skills as well as ethically reflected values.

Personal development and coaching

Our degree program is an investment in your own personality and future. You will deal intensively with personal issues and develop a reflected image of your leadership role. A special focus is placed on topics such as organization and leadership, management content such as strategy development, controlling, marketing or personnel management, thus rounding off your Master's education.

Your personal learning process is supported by continuous individual coaching, starting with an assessment at the beginning of your studies to determine your potential. Over four semesters, you will continue to receive coaching tailored to your needs. Small groups, direct contact with lecturers, practical relevance and exciting projects guarantee intensive professional and personal development for your future. This Master's degree offers you the best prospects for a management position in the social and healthcare market and beyond.

Academic requirements

Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of qualified professional experience after graduation
(professional experience is not required for project and studies)

Aspects of different disciplines are combined. In each semester, students prepare interdisciplinary projects.

Your personal learning process will be supported by continuous professional coaching, starting with an assessment to find out your potential.

Process competence
The learning and development process of the student group is supported and reflected on regularly in order to optimally unfold learning potentials and make use of them. You will learn to guide group processes by way of example. 

High relevance for practice
You will plan, organise and implement projects which pick up concrete issues from practice and which can be carried out in cooperation with clients from organisations belonging to the healthcare and social sector. You will develop solutions or generate innovative ideas for practice.
