Healthy and Digital on Site

The “Healthy and Digital on Site” project creates educational opportunities at adult education centers in Baden-Württemberg (vhs) for older people on current digital challenges in the health sector. Adult education centers in Baden-Württemberg offer outreach educational workshops on topics such as e-prescriptions, e-patient records, and video consultations. To this end, workshop concepts are developed together with the target group, course instructors aged 60 and over are trained, and sustainable partnerships with local stakeholders in senior citizen work are established.
In cooperation with local district offices, adult education centers and adult education associations identify local stakeholders involved in elderly care (e.g., nursing homes, day care centers, multigenerational houses, churches, mosques, associations, clinics, pharmacies) at various locations with the aim of creating educational opportunities on digital health in old age at these institutions.
The project is managed by the Baden-Württemberg Adult Education Association (Volkshochschulverband Baden-Württemberg), with partners including the Catholic University of Applied Sciences Freiburg (scientific support/evaluation) and the State Agency for Communication BW (Landesanstalt für Kommunikation BW) (public relations) as well as adult education centers in BW (vhs).
